Abstract

This article describes a unique course development program initiated through the collaboration of an interdisciplinary university team. The content and format of this program were co-developed through the collaboration of university, school district, and state department personnel to address instructional competencies and revised student outcomes, from research into practice. The program components, activities, and results of this interdisciplinary program and specific course development at the university, created through this collaboration among educators during each phase of development: planning, implementation, and evaluation are described. This program was a direct outcome of a program developed by the Learning Disabilities Association of America and professional support to develop collaborative personnel preparation teams at universities.
