Abstract

Educational intervention with children who have learning disabilities can be defined as any activity or instruction designed to increase a child's rate of learning that is offered instead of, or in addition to, the normal school program of instruction. Interventions are led by teachers, with teaching being defined as any activity or interaction that alters the child's capability to respond. Ifthe child's capacity to respond does not change, teaching has not occurred.
