Abstract

This paperdescribes the development andevaluation ofaModel Diagnostic Battery for adults with learning disabilities who are eligible for vocational rehabilitation services. The battery measures deficits in six areas: cognitive processes, academics, speech/language, psychological adjustment, balance/coordination, and vocational skills. Five criteria that were used to develop the battery are discussed. Specific tests found to be predictive ofdeficits within these six areas based on discriminant function analysis are described. Directions for future research on assessment of adults with learning disabilities are presented.
